In the present, however, we have arrived at a full-circle. Owing to the Middle East’s multicultural outlook and hospitable lifestyle, contemporary Spanish influences crowd the region’s design and architecture.
Also, on November 9th at 9:30 at Actiu’s showroom, we will hold a panel entitled The Spanish Spin. Moderated by Love That Design, three influential Spaniards from the A&D community in the UAE will share their views about contemporary Spanish influences in the Middle East region’s design and architecture:

Mohammed Adib, Chief Design Officer at Dewan Architects + Engineers.
Marta González, Director of Interior Design at Accor Hotels.
Downtown Design (November 9th-12th, Dubai) is the most important trade show of the interior design industry in the Middle East and beyond. It takes place during Dubai Design Week and attracts the region’s most influential interior designers, architects, real estate developers, and dealers, among many other interesting buyers. Given the fair’s importance and the potential of the Middle East markets for the Spanish manufacturers of interior products, ICEX Spain Trade & Investment, under its brand Interiors from Spain, returns to the 10th edition of Downtown Design. “Interiors from Spain” presents a selection of high-quality and innovative Spanish design brands across indoor and outdoor furniture, surfaces, rugs, clocks and accessories at Downtown Design 2022.
