Located on Reem Island, with exceptional views of the marina, Reem Mall is conceived as the premier shopping, dining, and entertainment destination serving the high-end residential developments of Hazaa bin Zayed Street and Al
Reem Island.
The interior design concept draws inspiration from the surrounding natural landscape, particularly the salt flats and mangroves that characterize the region. These references are expressed through the use of materials such as glass and metal, as well as in the patterns and organic forms that evoke the resilience and beauty of salt-tolerant vegetation. The project scope includes the full interior design of all public areas within the mall: circulation spaces, food courts, prayer rooms, public restrooms, and administration offices.

This approach makes it possible to create interiors that are not only functional but also deeply rooted in the identity of their context. On the north side, the design strengthens the connection to Reem Island Bridge through sharp, angular forms that articulate the different levels. To the south, overlapping volumes break the massing into crystalline elements that naturally guide visitors through interconnected spaces.

At the heart of the development lies the Mangrove Atrium, the largest open space within the mall, designed to host a variety of events and community activities. Above, the Mangrove Food Court translates the imagery of the mangrove forest into architecture: patterned columns in shades of green and blue rise like trees, supporting two skylights that flood the space with natural light and create a vibrant, immersive atmosphere.
